WhatsApp Communities feature announced.

Communities will let users "receive updates sent to the entire Community and easily organize smaller discussion groups on what matters to them," the company stated in a blog post on its official website. This feature will also provide administrators with new tools such as announcement messages sent out to everyone and the ability to control the types of groups that can be included.

With this feature, the messaging platform hopes to facilitate local clubs, schools, and non-profit organizations to connect all under one roof, ensuring no communication gap. "We think Communities will make it easier for a school principal to bring all the parents of the school together to share must-read updates and set up groups about specific classes, extracurricular activities, or volunteer needs," the platform's messaging feature was mentioned in its blog article.

New WhatsApp groups feature

WhatsApp introduces four new features to groups, including reactions and admin delete files, file sharing, and huge voice calls.

--- ReactionsWhatsApp is now offering emoji responses to let users quickly voice their opinions without flooding chats with messages. At the moment, users have to write a text to reply to someone within the group.

-The Administrator deletes WhatsApp and allows admins of groups to block inappropriate or untrusted messages from all chats.

--- Share files This messaging service is expanding the file-sharing feature to accommodate files of up to 2 gigabytes. This means that users can collaborate easily on a task.

--- More Voice calls WhatsApp previously expanded group calls up to 8 people from four. In the past, the company made voice calls available to up to 32 users at one time. WhatsApp has also updated the voice call interface.

For the time being, WhatsApp said that these features would be "rolling out in the coming weeks so people can start trying them out even before Communities are ready." The features will roll out to beta users and then a stable release.
